Average daily temperatures range from 33°C in October down to around 20°C in December, before rising again until March. If you’re visiting Udaipur in the winter, take sunscreen, sunglasses and lightweight summer clothing. Udaipur’s Monsoon Season
The monsoon rains arrive between July and September in Udaipur and do bring some relief from the scorching heat. However, the city receives relatively little rainfall compared to its neighbors, and the humid air can make it uncomfortable to sleep and to move about. Having said that, the rains do bring the surrounding countryside to life, and the city is well equipped to cope with the sudden downpours so the infrastructure is not much affected. If you visit Udaipur during the monsoon season, take waterproof shoes and perhaps ahead umbrella. It’s much too hot for waterproof clothing, however – daily highs throughout this period are typically in the mid-30s Celsius, with June being much hotter with an average temperature of 37°C.

With hot nights of around 25°C, this is an uncomfortable time to visit the city. If you do, you’ll need to take a hat and lots of sunscreens – drink plenty of water and try to stay out of the midday sun. The summer season in Udaipur begins in March and lasts till June.
